Curro Holdings Ltd: Private College – Rivonia (CHPC Rivonia) is proud to offer two distinct NCV programmes, spanning Levels 2 to 4. Please note: While we are passionate about the transformative power of these programmes, CHPC Rivonia is currently not open for new enrolments to our NCV programmes. This information is provided for our already-enrolled students and for general understanding of the NCV framework.

What is the National Certificate: Vocational (NCV)?

The NCV is a high-quality, government-recognised qualification that empowers your child to embark on their chosen career field immediately after completing Grade 9. It offers an alternative, highly focused educational journey:

• A Direct Path: Instead of the traditional Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12, students complete NCV Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 within their chosen specialisation.
• Career-Focused Learning: Students receive an excellent academic education meticulously designed around their chosen career path. This ensures relevance and deep understanding from day one.
• Workplace Experience: A key differentiator, NCV programmes integrate valuable experience in an actual workplace, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.
• National Recognition: Your child earns a national certificate at the completion of each level, providing official recognition of their progress and skills. While students can enter the workplace after any level, we strongly recommend completing Level 4 for maximum benefit.

University Pathways with NCV Level 4

Yes, absolutely! Students who successfully pass Level 4 of an NCV programme are eligible to apply to universities. This is provided that the NCV qualification is in a career field similar to the university programme they wish to pursue. Standard university application processes and entry requirements will still apply.

For our currently enrolled students, CHPC Rivonia offers the following dynamic NCV programmes, designed to equip them with cutting-edge skills and knowledge:

• Information Technology and Computer Sciences

Accreditation and Registration

Curro Holdings Ltd is provisionally registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training in terms of section 31(3) of the Continuing Education and Training Act, 2006 (no. 16 of 2006) and regulation 12(4)(b) of the regulations for the registration of private Further Education and Training colleges, 2007. This provisional registration is valid until 31 December 2024.
