About the school
Curro Victory Park has a high school in Randburg that provides the excellent Curro education to learners in Grade 8 to 10 (Grade 11 in 2026). Our classrooms take a slight open-plan approach so that teachers and tutors can easily move between learners and help exactly where they need, and we carefully limit the number of learners to ensure they get personal attention. We have an optional academic assistance programme after school and our learners get little homework, depending on the need for revision. Learners even have Robotics as a subject!

We take a whole new approach of teaching. At traditional schools, teachers stand in front of the class and teach from a prescribed textbook. They write on whiteboards, answer questions, and hand out homework to do after school. We teach by having our learners study textbooks, and watch videos, simulations, and tutorials as many times as they need to understand what they’re learning (it’s a digital education). When learners have questions, the teacher comes to them and explains everything they want to know, and they can ask as many questions as they need to. This means that each learner gets individual help exactly where they need, the teachers monitor each learner’s progress, and they get used to take charge of their own learning and, later on, their lives.
As part of the excellent Curro education, we have a great focus on Mathematics, Science, and Technology – and learners even have Robotics as a subject. The knowledge and tangible skills taught by these subjects are in high demand in the future workplace, which gives our learners a head start in their dreams, whichever these might be.
Furthermore, we create a culture of strong values where learners develop confidence, the ability to make their voice heard, and present themselves with respectful assertiveness. Soft skills such as these are in high demand in the workplace, as interpersonal skills are key to ensuring the success of workplace projects!
As part of the Curro school group, learners enjoy preference when applying to us from any school in the group. Primary schools in the group within a 30-minute drive include Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel, Curro Aurora, Curro Jewel City, Curro Rivonia, and Northriding College.
We accommodate the schedules of working parents by having late pick-up times, which grants learners much opportunity for extra practice. Learners receive little homework mostly for revision and to cement their understanding of the learning material. This means that home time is family time.
Our Saturday support programmes offer extra classes for subjects with which they struggle and learners may also use this time and space to work on their projects or study in groups. These programmes are not compulsory and are included in our school fees. On these days, learners would still have access to resources required for digital learning in class.
One part of the excellent Curro education, is that academics are balanced with sports and cultural activities. Participation in activities promote team-awareness, collaboration, and self-confidence. Activities such as art and choir help learners develop the skills to gather their thoughts and express themselves in creative ways. As part of the Curro school group, our focused variety of activities, such as eSports and performing arts, are tailored to the interests of learners in our area. Your child is sure to find something that will pique their interest.

Facilities
As part of the Curro education, our classrooms take a slight open-plan approach so that teachers can easily move between learners. The learning space is designed to accommodate digital learning and to encourage learners to take charge of their own learning pace. When they need help, teachers can spend individual time with them to help exactly where they need.
Also, each learner has their own computer to access digital learning material, such as tutorials, videos and simulations. By moving away from traditional classroom setups to this flexible learning space, our learners can work individually or in teams.
Our facilities include the following:
Robotics lab
Student hall
Old chapel converted into a media centre
Large campus with much space for learning outside the classroom
