-On 23 July 2025, I posted a review about Curro Online. The following day, Curro contacted me for a conference call. As parents, we have fulfilled all our obligations, but Curro Online, under the leadership of Faith Njau and Carmen McCormick, has still not fulfilled theirs. To date, they have not provided us with a proper, complete portfolio of evidence (including marked test papers, assessments, projects, and exams) for our daughter’s Grade 9 work. They also cannot clearly confirm how the marks on our daughter’s Grade 9 report were calculated or where those marks came from. Since then, they have begun ignoring our emails, even after interventions from the Western Cape Department of Education and the South African Human Rights Commission, which has been monitoring our case. This lack of documentation is preventing our daughter from being admitted to another school mid-year, as a portfolio of evidence is a minimum requirement for admission. Curro’s response to my previous review was “It is being worked on”, and that has been the answer since 23 July. I am willing to share emails and screenshots of my communications with any parent who wants to make an informed decision before enrolling their child at Curro Online.

-I’d like to thank Curro Online for the wonderful service and support all round. My child struggles at times, and the teachers are always there to help — even phoning him to guide him when needed. The teachers are well-prepared, the system is easy to use, and the learning materials are high quality. Communication with parents via email and MyHUB goes beyond what we expected, and it’s clear how much effort goes into it. The online extra-murals are also groundbreaking. For my child with selective mutism, being able to participate through typed class chat instead of speaking has been truly life-changing. The admin support is excellent as well.
